Back to more familiar territory this week, with the short hop over the county line to Bray, a favourite course of many of our rowers. We had 13 crews spread across 10 of the 12 races on the card, with 6 sets of medals for our troubles.
First to a podium finish were our Novice Ladies, who retained their 2nd place from last week. Our Under 18 Ladies, making their first appearance this season, also took 2nd place in a great race, and our Under 18 Boys took 3rd place in theirs.
The Junior Ladies was won by one of our two crews in this race, with pressure being kept on that season medal position. Our Junior Men, who’ve traded golds with Wicklow so far this season, had to settle for bronze this time around.
In the Senior Ladies race, our girls went one better than last week, with a 2nd place finish. Will they go one better and bring home a trophy this season?
In the final race of the day, our Senior Men took a commanding win, despite their bowman being knocked off his seat in the 2nd turn. After a 60 year gap, two Senior Men’s wins in three weeks has really marked a coming of age for our club!
