We sent two crews, mens and ladies, to this year’s Ocean to City, a gruelling 28km rowing race from the mouth of Cork Harbour to the heart of Cork City. There were hundreds of entrants and dozens of boat types, including 3 other East Coast skiffs from St. Patrick’s R.C. and Bray R.C.
Our men finished in a time of 2hrs 46 minutes and our Ladies in a time of 3hrs 46 minutes. The hot sun and stunning scenery made for a tough row, but a picturesque one. It was great to see all the other types of boats and rowing styles from around the country and around the world.
The event itself and the after-party were a credit to Cork city and the organisers. Loads of great photos can be found on the Ocean to City facebook page as well as our own album of the day.
